The journal addresses errors, publication concerns, research misconduct and editorial complaints fairly, transparently and in accordance with established principles of responsible scholarly publishing.<\/p><p><em>JSCET<\/em> may publish corrections, retractions or expressions of concern when necessary to maintain the integrity of the published record. The original article will normally remain part of the scholarly record, with an appropriate link to the correction notice.<\/p><p>Minor typographical or formatting errors that do not affect the meaning, interpretation or scholarly record may be corrected without issuing a formal correction notice.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-5dc5639 e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"5dc5639\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-d1f807e elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"d1f807e\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Retractions<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-0ab1a2d e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"0ab1a2d\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-4a6f418 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"4a6f418\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><em>JSCET<\/em> may retract a published article when there is clear evidence that the article&#8217;s findings are unreliable or that the publication process has been seriously compromised.<\/p><p>Grounds for retraction may include:<\/p><ul><li>substantial errors that invalidate the findings or conclusions;<\/li><li>fabricated or falsified data, results or other research information;<\/li><li>plagiarism or substantial unattributed use of another person&#8217;s work;<\/li><li>duplicate or redundant publication;<\/li><li>unethical research or failure to comply with applicable research ethics requirements;<\/li><li>serious authorship or contribution-related misconduct;<\/li><li>evidence of systematic manipulation of the peer-review or publication process; or<\/li><li>other serious breaches of research or publication integrity.<\/li><\/ul><p>A retraction does not normally result in the removal of the article from the journal&#8217;s website. The article will remain part of the scholarly record and will be clearly identified as Retracted, with a retraction notice explaining the reason for the action.<\/p><p><em>JSCET<\/em> follows the principle that retraction is intended to correct the scholarly record rather than to punish authors. Where appropriate, the journal may consult relevant institutions or other appropriate parties during the investigation.<\/p><p>The grounds listed above are consistent with established publication-ethics guidance, including COPE guidance on unreliable findings, redundant publication, plagiarism and unethical research.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/publicationethics.org\/files\/u661\/Retractions_COPE_gline_final_3_Sept_09__2_.pdf?utm_source=chatgpt.com\">COPE Retractions Guidance<\/a><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-4723266 e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"4723266\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-a47827b elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"a47827b\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Expressions of Concern<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-9734b6c e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"9734b6c\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-9040e8a elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"9040e8a\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><em>JSCET<\/em> may publish an Expression of Concern when there are credible concerns about the reliability or integrity of a published article but the available evidence is inconclusive or an investigation is still ongoing.<\/p><p>An Expression of Concern may be considered when:<\/p><ul><li>allegations of research or publication misconduct require further investigation;<\/li><li>available evidence is insufficient to justify immediate retraction or correction;<\/li><li>an institutional investigation has not been completed;<\/li><li>concerns exist about the fairness or completeness of an ongoing investigation; or<\/li><li>other circumstances warrant alerting readers to a potential concern affecting the reliability of the published work.<\/li><\/ul><p>An Expression of Concern is not a finding of misconduct and should not be regarded as a lesser form of retraction. It may subsequently be followed by a correction, retraction or removal of the concern, depending on the outcome of further investigation.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-d7456be e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"d7456be\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-089d00e elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"089d00e\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Editorial Complaints<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-e5cc5fb e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"e5cc5fb\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-d88ebd2 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"d88ebd2\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><em>JSCET<\/em> welcomes legitimate complaints concerning the journal&#8217;s editorial and publication processes. Complaints may be submitted by authors, reviewers or other relevant parties through the journal&#8217;s official contact channel.<\/p><p>Complaints may concern, for example:<\/p><ul><li>failure to follow the journal&#8217;s stated editorial or peer-review procedures;<\/li><li>inappropriate editorial conduct;<\/li><li>conflicts of interest;<\/li><li>reviewer conduct;<\/li><li>unreasonable delays in editorial processing;<\/li><li>publication or authorship disputes; or<\/li><li>other substantive concerns regarding the journal&#8217;s editorial practices.<\/li><\/ul><p>Complaints should provide sufficient information and, where possible, relevant supporting evidence to allow the journal to assess the matter appropriately.<\/p><p><em>JSCET<\/em> will handle complaints fairly, objectively and confidentially. Complaints will be reviewed by the appropriate editor or designated editorial authority. Where a complaint concerns an editor or member of the editorial team, the matter will be referred to an appropriate independent or senior editorial authority to avoid conflicts of interest.<\/p><p>The journal will not disadvantage authors or reviewers for raising a legitimate complaint in good faith.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-f0f1ebf e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"f0f1ebf\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-437c3ff elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"437c3ff\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Appeal on Editorial Decisions<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-66e5ceb e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"66e5ceb\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-a9b67f1 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"a9b67f1\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Authors may appeal an editorial decision where they believe that a significant factual error, procedural irregularity or material misunderstanding affected the decision.<\/p><p>An appeal should:<\/p><ul><li>be submitted through the journal&#8217;s official communication channel;<\/li><li>clearly identify the manuscript and decision concerned;<\/li><li>explain the specific grounds for the appeal; and<\/li><li>provide relevant evidence or clarification where applicable.<\/li><\/ul><p><br \/>Appeals should not simply repeat arguments already considered during peer review. The editor or designated editorial authority will assess whether the appeal provides substantive grounds for reconsideration.<\/p><p>An appeal does not guarantee reversal of the original decision.
