The Journal of Sustainable Civil Engineering & Technology (JSCET) is an international open-access academic journal committed to sharing current advancements and innovative practices in the field of civil engineering and technology. Managed by the Faculty of Civil Engineering, UiTM, JSCET provides a platform for global researchers, engineers, and academicians to contribute high-quality research and technical findings that support sustainable development goals.

This journal encourages original contributions that enhance civil engineering knowledge, promote environmentally responsible solutions, and address challenges in infrastructure and urban development. Authors from both academia and industry are welcome to submit articles that align with the journal’s focus on innovation, sustainability, and practical application.

Editorial Process and Peer Review
All manuscripts submitted to JSCET undergo double-blind peer review, in which both the author and the reviewer identities are concealed. Each submission is reviewed by at least two independent subject experts, and decisions are based on originality, technical and methodological rigour, relevance to civil engineering, and clarity of presentation. The editorial team consists of professionals and scholars with expertise in a broad range of civil engineering subfields.

JSCET upholds a fair-play principle: editors evaluate manuscripts solely on scholarly merit and intellectual content, free from discrimination based on authors’ race, gender, sexual orientation, religious belief, ethnic origin, citizenship, or political views. For submissions from editorial board members, the author-editor is excluded from all editorial decisions; an independent, non-conflicted handling editor is appointed, and the manuscript is reviewed by external reviewers under the same double-blind process, with conflict-of-interest recusal enforced throughout.

Publication Frequency and Access
JSCET publishes two issues annually, in March and September. As an open-access journal, all articles are freely available to the public without subscription or access fees. Authors retain copyright and are encouraged to share and disseminate their published work.

Indexing and Reach
JSCET is indexed in the MySitasi and Google Scholar, making it accessible to a wide audience within and beyond Malaysia. The journal aims to expand its visibility by pursuing further international indexing.
