Basic Criteria
Articles should be written in English, using British (UK) English spelling, and meet the following basic criteria: the material is original, the information is important, the writing is clear and concise, the study methods are appropriate, the data are valid, and the conclusions are reasonable and supported by the data. For manuscripts that are judged by JSCET Chief Editors to be written in poor English but otherwise worthy of consideration for publication, authors are required to pay for the English polishing of their manuscript. Otherwise, the Editorial Office reserves the right to reject the manuscript.

It is the author’s responsibility to ensure that manuscripts are written in clear and comprehensible English. It is strongly recommended that authors must arrange for their manuscript to be written in idiomatic and grammatically correct English prior to submission. Manuscripts can be rejected solely on the basis of poor English. If a manuscript requires English editing, authors may consider submitting the paper to Editing Service. Authors must provide proof of editing (such as a certificate or official receipt) before the article proceeds to publication. This policy reflects international best practices and ensures that only manuscripts approved for publication incur the cost and effort of language editing.
